Reset Teams is a website (vysken.com/teams) and a Discord bot for organising Project Diablo 2 reset teams. Vysken runs it as a free hobby project for the community. This policy covers what it stores, why, who can see it, and how to have it removed.
What it stores
When you log in with Discord
- Your Discord user ID, username, display name and avatar.
- Your email address. Discord gives it to the login service (Supabase Auth), which stores it. Reset Teams doesn't use it, show it or send you email.
When you sign up for a reset
- Whether you're in, a maybe or can't make it.
- The classes and roles you picked, in your order of preference.
- The people you picked as friends.
- Your note to the organisers.
- The team and role you're placed in, who placed you and when.
- If you enter one, your character's name, and its public stats from the Project Diablo 2 API for the leaderboard: class, level, experience, hardcore, ladder and whether it has died, and when the game last saved it. From the same public data it also keeps totals worked out from the character's equipped gear (faster cast rate and resistances) and how far through the game its quests and mercenary show it has got, and for the run guide, its points in each skill, the quests its stats show it has done, and the runewords it wears.
In the run guide
- Which of your team's tasks are ticked off, and who ticked each one.
- The quest items you mark as picked up, and the true tomb someone marks.
- Your own skill build, if you edit it.
Organisers can also add someone by typing a name. That entry holds the name and the same sign-up details, with no Discord account.
For the Discord bot
- The IDs of the server, channel and roster message it posts in.
- The IDs of the "Team" roles it creates, and which Discord user it has given each one to.
- The IDs and names of each team's text and voice channels, and of the member list it posts in the text channel.
- If you're a TP Sorc, the one direct message asking which game servers you play on, and the servers you pick.
- If an organiser adds you by your Discord ID, a record of the one direct message the bot sends you about using its commands, and whether it could be delivered.
The bot doesn't read messages in your server. When you use one of its commands, Discord sends the bot your user ID, name, and the
server and channel IDs so it can reply. /teams and /me only use them to answer. /signup and
the other sign-up commands (/update, /character, /note) store your Discord ID and server
name with your sign-up, the same details as signing up on the site; if you later log in to the site, that sign-up becomes yours.
In your browser
Your browser keeps your login session. In demo mode it also remembers which player you're viewing as, and on the Guide tab a few display choices (such as Path tips on or off). On the Trade tab it keeps the numbers you put in and the last copy of the price sheet; neither is sent anywhere. There are no ads, analytics or tracking cookies.
Why
Only to run the sign-ups: showing the teams, placing players, spreading classes, keeping friends together, posting the roster in Discord, giving out team roles, pinging the teams when the roster locks, and showing the leaderboard.
Who can see it
- Reset boards are public. Anyone with a link can see the names, classes, roles, notes, friend groups and teams on a board without logging in. Don't put anything in a note that you wouldn't post in the Discord channel.
- The bot posts the same roster in the chosen Discord channel, and each team's members in that team's channel. Anyone in the server who can read those channels can see them.
- Run guides are public too: anyone can see each team's guide, its ticks (with who ticked them), the items picked up and players' own builds.
- A reset's organisers can edit sign-ups, move people and remove them.
- Nobody using the site or the bot can see your email address.
Where it's kept
- Supabase holds the database and login, and runs the bot. It keeps short-lived security and request logs, which include IP addresses.
- The website's host serves the pages and may keep standard access logs (IP address, time and page).
- Discord holds anything the bot posts and the roles it gives out.
- Project Diablo 2's API is asked for the stats of the character names entered here. Only the name is sent.
- Google serves the Trade tab's price sheet: your browser fetches it from Google Sheets when the tab opens, so Google sees your IP address as it would for any page. Nothing about you is sent with it.
Nothing is sold or shared with anyone else.
How long it's kept
- Sign-ups stay with their reset, including after it's archived, until an organiser removes them or you ask for them to be deleted.
- Team roles come off and team channels are deleted (with their messages) when a reset is archived, and the bot's records of them are deleted at the same time.
- Your login and profile stay until you ask for them to be deleted.
- Roster posts stay in Discord until someone in that server deletes them.
Your choices
- While a roster is open you can change your picks, friends and note, or mark yourself as can't make it.
-
To have your sign-ups, profile and login deleted, message Vysken on Discord (user ID
189447717951504384). It will be done within 30 days. - You can remove the site's access to your Discord account at any time in Discord: User Settings → Authorized Apps.
If you're in the UK or the EU, you have the right to see, correct or delete your data and to object to how it's used. Ask as above. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in the UK that's the ICO.
Age
You need to be old enough to have a Discord account in your country to use Reset Teams.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too, and bigger changes will be announced in the Discord server.
